Shane explains the company was established to provide a Nationwide Independent fit testing service, dedicated solely to Size- Train -Test respirator end users in accordance with the ASNZS1715 standard, and not to sell masks.
In the early set up phase of the company Shane entered into an exclusive partnership with New Zealand’s largest safety supplier to provide a vehicle for clients to have their fit tests charged to their NZ Safety account. The benefit of this to the client is a one stop shop of convenience, and that all the major brands sold through WISNZ eg 3M, Moldex, Scott Safety, CleanSpace and Draeger respirators can be fit tested by Hazard Testing NZ Ltd. The client has the additional benefit of technical support regarding respirator systems and filters through the respirator manufacture network that supports Hazard Testing NZ Ltd with test masks. HTL has invested in the best technology for the best outcome, to support your health safety and wellbeing respiratory protection programme.

Fit Testing
You cannot under estimate the importance of having your respirator fitting your face correctly. Hazard Testing NZ Ltd uses the best technology available, the same technology that respirator manufactures use to measure a fit, with a Portacount Pro + machine. Both the respiratory AS/NZS 1715 standard and all Respirator Manufactures recommend that respirators be fit tested before use to determine that you have the correct size mask and it seals within the assigned protection factor for that mask to your face.
Hazard Testing NZ Ltd takes the process further by training and working with clients to understand correct donning and doffing protocols and the importance of strap tension and maintenance hygiene protocols to give the best specialist service available in New Zealand.
